25. Learning the Particle System
The majority of this week was spent on programming the other enemies for my sample level. I was able to complete one new flying enemy that has a projectile as an attack. After making this enemy, I began working on the enemies I designed for a boss battle. You can see two of them in the GiF above. They're rather simple in design, but programming the light orb's movement took some time. The thing I really wanted to get done for these two was their particle trail. I had no knowledge whatsoever on Unity's particle system. Fortunately, the system wasn't as complicated as I expected it to be! I'm really happy with how the light orb turned out, but the dark orb might need some improvement.
