40. Major Character Balancing
I’m having issues uploading gifs to this site, so I’ll just put a link to it above. One of the biggest issues in the SGF build was that the combat was too difficult and not very fun as a result. I was stuck for a while trying to solve this. The core issue is that each character was too focused in defense/offense. This, with the fact that it takes time to swap, led to a very unnecessarily difficult combat system. If I were to remove the time it takes to swap, it would be much easier, but not interesting as there’s no point in having two characters in the first place. What I chose to do is make swapping an offensive option. On paper, this forces players to time a swap, but there’s more intent behind that action.
