22. Taking Damage


For this week, I kept adding stuff to the status HUD. A good portion of my time this week was trying to figure out how to use sprite masking to display each status bar. Normally, you can just adjust the scale of the image to show that the player gained/lost HP, but that won't work with the status bars I'm using due to their weird shape. The other half of my time this week went to drawing out the character's faces when they get hurt. It took some time, but I think I'm starting to get faster at it.
